Sharolyn Kawakami-Schulz is a resource manager and content management strategist in the NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education, leading special projects within the OITE. Sharolyn is passionate about developing resources that support the development of STEM professionals. As a former trainee and experienced administrator, she harnesses her diverse skill set to develop and implement programming.
Sharolyn completed training in genetics, receiving her B.S. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her postdoc work spanned neuroscience and science administration. She has extensive experience supporting trainees at many stages of education and training, from high school through postdoctoral training, in both government and academic settings.
