Denise Saunders

Denise Saunders is a Career Counselor for the NIH Office of Intramural Training and Education. She works with trainees at all levels and enjoys helping postbacs, graduate students, postdocs, and fellows with their career planning, decision making and job search strategies. She has previously worked in higher education, for profit business, and independent practice offering career counseling and wellness services. She is available for virtual appointments with trainees at the main campus and on site at the NIEHS campus in North Carolina.

Denise received a B.S. in Psychology from Bridgewater College in Virginia and an M.S. in Counseling and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University. Denise completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Virginia and served as a Staff Psychologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to joining the OITE. She is a Licensed Psychologist in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor.
