Anne Kirchgessner is a Career Counselor/Senior Advisor in OITE. She has enjoyed helping NIH postbacs, graduate students and postdocs with career decision-making and job search strategies, as well as exploring possible career options, since 2008. She started her career at Genesee Community College and worked with many first-generation students and disabled students. She was the Director, Career Counseling and Learning Services at University of Maryland University College (now UMGC) and has worked as a career counselor at American University and Johns Hopkins University, as well as in private practice.
Anne's B.A. in English is from Nazareth College of Rochester, and M.S. Ed. in Counseling is from SUNY College at Brockport, NY. She is a Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, LCPC and National Certified Counselor, NCC.
