Alia Alhomsi

Alia Alhomsi supports multiple programs in OITE. Along with Dr. Matus-Nicodemos, she serves as the OITE program coordinator for the 'Scientists Teaching Science' course and workshop. She also assists with the NIH Academy on Health Disparities and the Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGSP).

Before joining the OITE team, she was a postbac research fellow at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and conducted research on racial/ethnic health disparities and social determinants of health. She earned a B.S. in biology from George Mason University and an MPH from the University of Edinburgh.
