Alexis Schirling
- Program Specialist
Alexis Schirling (she/her) is a program specialist in the NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education. She works with the summer interns and postbacs supporting their research training, professional development, and overall well-being. She is also the co-advisor for Fellows of All Abilities (FAAb), a trainee affinity group, that works to create a community and enhance the environment for NIH trainees and fellows with emotional, cognitive, or physical disabilities, and/or chronic illness.
Alexis graduated from the University of Sciences (now part of Saint Joseph’s University) with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and two minors in Psychology and Neuroscience. Prior to joining OITE, she was a postbac in NCI on the Frederick campus. She is dedicated to assisting early career scientists develop their scientific, professional, and well-being skills.
