About this program
As a Johns Hopkins University-NIH graduate student, you will get the best of both worlds - the world class academic environment of Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and the breadth and depth of research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Students in the NIH-JHU Graduate Partnerships Program earn their PhD through the JHU Cell, Molecular, Developmental Biology & Biophysics (CMDB) program.
Eligibility criteria
Prospective students must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents and must hold a bachelor’s degree by the matriculation date.
Stipend and other compensation
All JHU NIH graduate students are supported through NIH Intramural Research Training Awards and by Johns Hopkins University. They receive support for stipend, tuition, and medical insurance throughout their years of training. View the NIH stipend tables here.
