The candidate will be an enthusiastic biologist engaged in an exciting discipline including, but not limited to, computational biology/bioinformatics, cell and molecular biology or environmental science. The successful candidate will integrate basic and translational research to solve current challenges in fields such as human disease, biotechnology or environmental issues. Applications are sought from candidates using multifaceted mechanistic approaches to study an important problem.
About the position
The new faculty member is expected to pursue an extramurally-funded research program and teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as computational biology/bioinformatics, microbiology and/or cell and molecular biology. The candidate will assist in the administration and development of other undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Biology.
