About the position
The Penn State Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellow to support projects funded by the NIH/FDA and led by Dr. Jonathan Foulds. The fellow’s primary responsibilities will be to work on a double-blind, randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of nicotine pouches on tobacco use behaviors and biomarkers of toxicant exposure. Other experiences and opportunities within the field of tobacco regulatory science will also be available. Successful applicants should have a doctoral degree in public health, psychology, or a related field and experience in clinical assessment, biomarker collection, statistical analysis and scientific writing would be desirable. Prior experience in tobacco-related research, while strongly encouraged, is not required. The fellow will be located at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The fellowship comes with a competitive salary, funds for conference travel, and opportunities for collaboration and training at NIH/FDA-funded TCORS across the United States. The fellowship is available beginning Spring 2024 and is intended to be a 2-year position with the potential to extend for a third year.
