About the position
Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in the Center for Cardiovascular Genetic Research The successful candidate will use state-of-the-art techniques to define and characterize the DNA double-stranded breaks (DSBs) in cardiac cells and delineate the molecular genetic and genomic basis of DSBs in cardiac cells and perform genetic and pharmacological intervention to attenuate the generation of DSBs and enhance their repair.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates with a PhD who are enthusiastic about fundamental basis science discoveries MD candidates must have at least one year of basic science research experience in molecular biology and genetics Description of Qualified Candidates: PhD in molecular biology, genetics, or chemistry MD candidate must have at least one year of prior research experience. Experience in the molecular genetics and biology of DNA damage and DNA damage response pathways is a major advantage Experience in cardiovascular sciences is a plus High energy and enthusiasm for scientific discoveries are major advantages.
