The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is seeking a dynamic, motivated postdoctoral trainee with expertise in integrative physiology, neuroscience, toxicology, or a combination of those fields and a keen interest in the impacts of climate change on health. The position will involve a combination of lab-based research including the use of rodent models, epidemiological training, and application of bioinformatic approaches.
About the position
The candidate will lead a project focused on employing state-of-the-art technologies, such as automated home-cage monitoring, wireless telemetry and bioinformatics to model the health impacts of climate change. This will involve developing heat exposure protocols with the ultimate goal of providing a well-characterized platform for understanding the health consequences of heat exposure across all bodily systems.

Qualifications
To be eligible for postdoctoral training at NIEHS, applicants may not possess more than five years of postdoctoral experience and must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in physiology, toxicology, neurobiology or an allied science, M.D., D.V.M., or other equivalent professional degree.
