The Haydar Lab is hiring a postdoctoral fellow to develop CAR T cell therapies for the treatment of brain tumors and interrogate the tumor microenvironment for identification of rational combination therapies. We use mouse models and novel engineering tools to design effective, long-lasting, and safe cellular immunotherapies for pediatric brain tumors.
About the position
Candidates must have experience in the fields of immunology and/or cancer biology with a strong track record. record. The position will interact and collaborate with a team of researchers with similar interests in developing cell-based therapies in a translational research environment. The work involves using methods of molecular biology (cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing), in vivo work with transplantable brain tumor mouse models, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and single-cell genomics. Candidates should be able to design and execute laboratory experiments, interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
