Immunology
Our lab focuses on understanding the complex immune cell interactions in the meninges and central nervous system (CNS). By employing a multidisciplinary approach, we seek to understand how transcription factors shape the behavior and tissue adaptation of innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) and CD4+ T helper cells within the CNS. Our aim is to discover the molecular pathways in ILCs and T cells that drive neuroinflammation and contribute to neurodegenerative processes.
About the position
We are looking for highly motivated, curious, and creative postdoctoral researchers to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying neuroimmune interactions in CNS autoimmunity and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Our research is centered on understanding how transcription factors regulate CD4+ T cell responses in autoimmune diseases, immunoregulatory role of ILCs in the CNS, the impact of tissue-specific signals and inflammatory cytokines on TCR signaling and self-tolerance, and the mechanisms that drive anti-tumor immunity against GBM. To learn more about our research and recent publications, please visit the Lazarevic Lab website (link below). Our lab is part of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a vibrant research community with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation in the fields of immunology and neuroscience.
