Assistant Professor - Biomedical Sciences Program

The Biomedical Sciences program at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We are especially interested in applicants who are broadly trained in the biomedical sciences, whose research program addresses fundamental aspects of molecular / cell biology in areas including, but not limited to pharmacology and biochemistry, drug discovery and development to facilitate basic and translational investigations.

About the position

The selected applicant is expected to strengthen and expand the expertise of the current faculty, collaborate with existing faculty to form a community of teacher-scholars, develop an extramurally funded independent research program as well as the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate research students. While preference is given to hiring at the Assistant Professor level, highly qualified individuals may be considered at the rank of Associate Professor. This position within the Biomedical Sciences program at RIT is one that encompasses teaching, scholarship and service. Additional responsibilities in this position will include professional advising to students, research mentoring of undergraduate / graduate students and other program related duties that commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.
