Adjunct Assistant Professor

About the position

The Department of Human Science at Georgetown University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach the lecture portion of the HSCI-2010 Microbiology course for the Fall Semester of 2024. This course consists of a series of lectures and laboratory experiences devoted to the pathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites of humans, and serves as an introduction to medical microbiology for undergraduate Nursing, Human Science, and Pre-med students within the School of Health. The selected candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field, and is expected to teach bi-weekly lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:15 PM (note: the course’s laboratory component will be taught by another instructor). This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in furthering their teaching experience.
