NIH Summer Internship Program (SIP) Application Webinar
Speaker: Natasha Lugo-Escobar, OITE
About this event
Come learn about the NIH Summer Internship Program! If you are a college, graduate, or professional student interested in conducting biomedical research in the summer, this is a great opportunity that can enhance your career. The webinar will discuss eligibility criteria, the application and selection process, NIH resources, and tips on how to prepare a competitive application. You will also have the chance to ask any questions about the program.
Applicants to the broader summer internship program should contact investigators after submitting their application to increase their chances on securing a summer internship position. Applications are reviewed by individual Principal Investigators (PIs) who select their own summer interns and provide the funding to support them. There is no centralized selection process. Watch a video on how to find an NIH research mentor.
Find more information about how to apply on our Summer Internship Program page.
*Note: Several Institutes sponsor summer internship cohort programs which may differ in the application and selection process, application deadline, and research group placement. If applying to a cohort summer program, please follow the program's application guidelines. While these programs utilize the NIH-Application Center, this webinar will not cover the application and selection process for these programs.
