Event
Career Transition Series: #1– Planning and Preparing for Transitions
Speaker: Denise Saunders, OITE
About this event
Change and transition are a part of life. Whether your next steps involve furthering your education and training or accepting a fulltime position, the training experience at the NIH has led to preparation for a transition and professional next steps. This 3-part series focuses on skills needed to successfully make career and professional transitions. Each workshop will focus on a different stage of the career transition and allow participants to plan and prepare for the transition, establish a framework for success and engage in career self-management. Participants are encouraged to attend all three workshops but not required.
Planning and Preparing for Transitions, the first in the career transitions series, will share a framework for understanding transitions in our lives utilizing Bridges Transition Model. We will emphasize the importance of planning for transitions and encourage reflection before committing to next steps. Join us for a presentation followed by group discussion about upcoming transitions.
